For this artwork I was interested in creating a 3D word in which the materials that it was made with represented the meaning of the word. To begin the project I wanted to decide on a font that focused in on how I felt the word would move if it was real. My goal was to make the fluid feel graceful, yet sturdy. After a few failed attempts with materials, I finally came to the conclusion that hot glue would give the translucent look I was going for. To create the sculpture I cutout a stencil and then traced it in hot glue until I was able to achieve a solid finish.
