As my first attempt at digital painting, Toucan Play succeeded in helping me better understand photoshop brushes. Being one of my most time consuming 2D projects to date, by creating this piece I learned techniques that I could use in the future to make digital painting faster and easier. The painting is based off of a photograph I had taken of a Collared Aracari. I only used two tools to create this work: the brush tool and the smudging tool. Overall I was very pleased with how the painting turned out. Toucan Play has opened new possibilities for my artwork in the future.
